Michael has spent his career leading businesses whose real product is a feeling, from the holiday saved for all year to the noise of a full arena.

At Air Canada’s leisure division and Thomas Cook North America, he ran travel operations for customers who had been looking forward to the trip for months. As President and CEO of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, he led the group behind the Maple Leafs, Raptors and Toronto FC as its arenas grew into entertainment destinations, with concerts and events alongside game nights. As Executive Chairman of Signature Aviation, he steered a global network of private aviation terminals through a period of transition.

Michael’s governance experience includes his role as a Non-Executive Board Member of The Woodbridge Company Ltd.

As an Advisor to CDR, Michael brings a cross-sector view to CDR’s work: finding leaders whose experience carries across industries, and holding CDR to the standard of oversight its clients expect.
